International Lighting’s extensive experience in the healthcare sector enables us to offer a wide range of lighting solutions that meet stringent regulations, specifications and architectural standards.
We create lighting designs that enhance the well-being of patients and staff in healthcare. This includes indirect general lighting that promotes a sense of calm and comfort, compliant task lighting for efficiency in critical areas, and hygienic finishes that are designed to meet the rigorous cleanliness standards required in medical environments.
Lighting Overview
Corridors and Waiting Rooms Extrusions, downlights, panels, handrails, and floor washers can be used for general lighting or as specific tools within the space. COI-compliant lighting options assist in noticing blueing in extremities. Handrails and low-level wall lights provide out-of-hours illumination that does not disrupt patient sleep or the circadian rhythm of staff.
Operating Theatres IP-rated panels and Cleanroom IP-rated fixtures that are COI-compliant and feature high CRI lighting provide the majority of illumination in operating rooms. These fixtures offer easy cleaning and optical efficiency, ensuring optimal visibility for medical procedures.
Bathrooms Bathroom visibility and efficiency are the primary focus. Lighting options such as an over-mirror light, downlight, or oyster can be utilized individually or in combination within the space. These options adhere to standards and enable staff to efficiently perform their duties.
Patient rooms In-patient rooms, lighting options such as over-bed lights, downlights, wall lights, floor washers, and nurse lights must balance staff needs with patient comfort. Over-bed lights, separately switchable for indirect ambience and assessment purposes, serve as the primary lighting source. Additional downlights and low-level wall lights function as supplementary night lights. All fixtures can be manufactured to comply with anti-ligature requirements.
